As a wife and mother of two married children, I know the many decisions and choices involved in even the smallest wedding. One of the most difficult, for many people, is the music. As anexperienced musician, I understand the need for quality, versatility and service.

We, at The Shaw Strings, have helped hundreds of happy couples to make their wedding a successful event and a cherished memory. The Shaw Strings - a quartet consisting of two violins, a viola and cello - offers you quality, versatility and experience at a price that fits your budget. Since we rehearse regularly, we can offer an extensive repertoire ranging from classical to jazz to ragtime. Of course, we would work closely with you to tailor a program just for you.

The Shaw Strings takes pride in our unique commitment to personalized service. We believe it is our job to "made it wonderful" for you, using music to create the perfect atmosphere If you're unsure what type of program you want, we'll make some recommendations. If you'd like to add a flute to our quartet, we can easily do that. If you want a band or DJ for dancing, we'll behappy to recommend quality groups. If playing at a reception, I meet with the restaurant or banquet manager prior to the event to ensure all details are double and triple-checked. Our quartet will even, if possible, match our outfits to the colors of the event!

The Shaw Strings is on the recommended list for many of the finest local country clubs and catering houses, including the Curtis Institute of Music, Appleford Manor, DuPont CountryClub, Greystone Hall, Merion Tribute House, Springton Manor and many others. We have played at Catholic, Jewish, Protestant, Baha'i and non-denominational services. In addition, I can provide references from many happy clients.
